Trish Shaw

Trish Shaw graduated with a BA Fine Arts Hons degree from the University of Hull. In her final year Trish started to cut out images from paper, using a scalpel as a pencil to cut/draw into the paper. After graduation she developed a new style using the beautiful coast and local beauty spots as inspiration to make intricate papercuts by using very thin paper to replicate  this fragile coast and moorlands that are constantly changing.

By cutting negative and positive space to achieve a papercut that reflects each local beauty spot and giving the viewer a picture that they may see every day but in a new way.
